Providing a Specimen or Sample

If you are asked by your Doctor or Nurse to collect a specimen at home you should be given the correct specimen bottle and collection bag. After collecting the specimen please ensure that both the bottle and bag are securely sealed. This will help reduce any risk of infection. Specimens should be clearly labelled and handed in at reception by 4pm at the latest

Receiving Results

Patients may receive an SMS text message once results are received and reviewed. This message will indicate if the results are negative, satisfactory, or if any repeats or further tests are required.

Where a clinician requests further investigations a member of our reception team will contact you to make arrangements.

Please note Receptionists are not allowed to give results over the telephone unless instructed by a doctor and can only provide results on those already received .
