Extended Hours

The Market Surgery is dedicated to making healthcare accessible to all. We understand that our patients lead busy lives with commitments such as work. We therefore have welcomed and embraced the opportunity to offer our patients greater levels of access to healthcare.

Early Morning Appointments

We offer a range of early morning appointments, starting at 7:10am. These appointments are routine appointments bookable in advance. Our extended 7am surgeries are operated by our nursing team on a Monday and Friday, and our GP team on a Tuesday and Thursday.

Weekend Appointments*

We have a number of appointments available for our patients on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Evening Appointments*

Appointments are available for our patients to book on weekday evenings from 6:30pm until 8:30pm.

We offer the above Extended Hours  appointments as a collaborative approach across Rotherham along with other GP surgeries. Therefore it is important to note that:

• Appointments are not held at the Market Surgery. The appointments are held at Valley Health Centre Dalton, Highthorn Road Kilnhurst, and Broom Lane Medical Centre
• You will need to make your own arrangements for travel to your appointment.
• These appointments are for routine care only and so are bookable only in advance and not on the day.
• Locum doctors operate these surgeries so you are not able to request to see a specific doctor.
