Winter Vaccinations
RSV
We are currently rolling out vaccinations against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) – a virus that results in thousands of hospitalisations each year primarily in babies and older populations. This is a new vaccination developed to provide protection against RSV and so we are currently offering mass vaccination campaigns for eligible populations
Eligible Patients:
- Pregnant mothers – vaccination issued after 28 weeks
- Adults aged 75 -79
This is, currently, a once in a lifetime vaccination for adults, and for each pregnancy for pregnant mothers. The vaccine is not seasonal and will be available year round.
Flu
We are currently planning our flu vaccination campaign. The flu campaign this year will start in October as per NHS guidance to ensure strong patient immunity throughout the winter season.
Covid
We are awaiting further details of the autumn/winter Covid vaccination campaign which we expect will run in correlation with our flu vaccination campaign
