Targeted Lung Health Check
The TLHC programme is now live for Market Surgery patients
The targeted lung health checks (TLHC) programme is a new and ground-breaking flagship programme of work in England which will contribute to the ambition of the NHS Long Term Plan to improve early diagnosis and survival for those diagnosed with cancer.
People aged over 55 years old but less than 75 years old that have ever smoked will be invited, by letter, to a free lung check which will be conducted by the TLHC team over the phone.
Following the lung health check those assessed as high risk will be offered a low dose Computerised Tomography (CT) scan. The scans are currently taking place on the mobile scanning truck currently located at Parkgate Shopping Centre, but will shortly be relocating to Tesco Extra, Wath-Upon Dearne.
Please remember to be available for your initial screening telephone appointment at the time and date stipulated on your invitation Letter
